Accessibility
We are committed to creating an environment that every guest can enjoy, no matter their individual needs. Our goal is to ensure that everyone who visits us feels comfortable, supported, and reassured throughout their experience.

Outside
Although our Grade II listing means we can’t make major changes to the outside of the building, we’ve worked hard to ensure everyone feels welcome and supported.
Parking: There are two designated disabled parking spaces at the back of the pub.
Step-free access: Wheelchair users can enter through the side porch, and our wide double doors make for an easy entry. A mobile ramp is also available for access to the snug and bar area, as well as the toilets.
Accessible garden: Our beer garden is all on one level and can also be accessed step-free from the Leek side via the track, making it ideal for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
Friendly support: Our team is fully trained and always on hand to offer help, ensuring your visit is smooth, comfortable and enjoyable.
Inside
We want all of our guests to feel comfortable when visiting us.
Toilets & Facilities: The standard toilets have handrails and a mobile ramp. There are also plans in the next couple of years to install an accessible toilet. Handrails around the pub support safe movement.
Comfort & Sensory Considerations: Lighting can be dimmed and background music lowered or switched off in quieter areas on request. For a calmer dining experience, we recommend visiting during quieter times, especially midweek from 3–5pm.
Seating & Layout: All our tables are thoughtfully spaced out to allow easy access.
Communication & Assistance: Our friendly staff are always happy to help, whether it’s providing ramps, reading menus aloud, or offering other support. Guests with hearing or speech difficulties can simply point to the menu. Service animals are welcome throughout all areas of the pub – with water bowls and treats available too!
Booking & Planning Ahead: Please let us know what assistance you require on booking!
