Our Story

The Knot Inn is the heart of Rushton Spencer, located just off the A523, it is a perfect stop for anyone travelling between Macclesfield, Leek, Congleton, and Buxton or for those looking for a place to relax after a walk round the nearby Rudyard Lake, Gritstone Trail or Staffordshire Way.

This is a proper country pub and, as you would expect, the bar area is dog and muddy boots friendly. Everyone is welcome; young, old, local or visitor – in short, anyone seeking refreshment and sustenance while enjoying the area we are lucky to be situated in will find a welcome at The Knot.

Come along and take a seat in our beer garden where you can enjoy the Cheshire sunshine with a glass of Wincle Ale brewed just down the road!

We may be a bit biased, but we think that The Knot is the perfect place to come for a relaxed, high quality and good value dining experience!

Meet The Team

The Heath family have been in the Hospitality Industry for over 20 years, and over the years have hosted charity events, August Bank Holiday weekend events, Christmas Parties and of course, lots and lots of weddings. Being no strangers to catering, in 2018 they began their very own onsite catering team, Stable Yard Catering.

They bring all their knowledge and experience with them down to their local pub and a team of highly qualified chefs and an incredible front of house team.

Our highly experienced Chef has created a menu that concentrates on high quality locally sourced produce and offers something for everyone!

The pub is ran with the community in mind, and we will soon be running events for people to join us for – so be sure to keep an eye on our upcoming events on Facebook.
